By inviting and/or using TookBot ("the bot"), you accept these terms. If you disagree, do not invite the bot or remove it from your server.
1. Service description
TookBot is a personal Discord bot offering music, duels, an XP system, auto-reactions, moderation and utility features. It is provided as is, free of charge, with no availability guarantee.
2. Acceptable use
By using TookBot, you agree not to:
- Use the bot to spam, harass or harm other users
- Attempt to bypass rate limits, exploit vulnerabilities, or abuse the system
- Use the bot for commercial purposes without prior agreement from the administrator
- Distribute through the bot any illegal, hateful or pornographic content, or content that violates the Discord Terms of Service
- Reverse-engineer, clone or redistribute the code without authorisation
Any abuse may lead to an immediate ban of the bot on the server concerned, or even a global ban of the user.
3. Slash commands
All bot features are used through slash commands (/ prefix). The /commandes command sends the detailed list by DM. No text prefix (!, ?, etc.) is supported for end users.
4. Music and copyright
The music feature uses yt-dlp to extract audio streams from YouTube and other public platforms. You alone are responsible for respecting the copyright of the content you play. TookBot does not host music, does not store audio files and acts only as a transient relay to Discord. Any reported abuse results in the stream being cut.
5. Virtual economy (TookCoins, sabers)
TookCoins, lightsabers, combat levels and other elements of the duel system are virtual goods with no monetary value. They cannot be exchanged for money nor transferred outside the bot. The administrator reserves the right to modify, delete or reset these elements at any time.
6. Moderation
The moderators of the server you are in can use the bot to kick, ban or time out members. These actions follow the Discord permission system. TookBot logs these actions for audit purposes; the logs are visible only to the bot admin and to the moderators of the server concerned.
7. Availability and limitations
- The bot may be unavailable at any time (maintenance, VPS outage, Discord update, etc.).
- No service-level commitment (SLA).
- Features may change, be added or be removed without notice.
- Anti-spam rate limits (6 commands / 30 seconds per user) apply.
8. Limitation of liability
TookBot is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. The administrator cannot be held liable for:
- the loss or corruption of data stored by the bot
- direct or indirect damages resulting from the use of the bot
- content generated by users through the bot
- service interruptions or the inaccuracy of certain features (yt-dlp results, translations, statistics)
9. Personal data
How your personal data is handled is detailed in the privacy policy.
10. Termination
At any time you can:
- Remove the bot from your server (Members -> right-click the bot -> Kick)
- Erase your data by sending
DELETE MEas a DM to the bot
The administrator may, without notice, suspend access to the bot for a user, a role or a whole server in case of a breach of these terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by French law. Any dispute falls under the courts with jurisdiction over the administrator's place of residence.
12. Changes
These terms may be modified. The last update date is shown at the top of the page. Continued use of the bot after a change constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
